Olga

why dont you have a shop on the website?

Till now, we have prefrerred to keep the merchandise exclusivly for live shows, Though with there being a break from gigs, we are seriously looking to start a webshop, we will let you know if it happens. Cheers
Olga

Hey Olga!! Oi! Oi! Oi! How you doing? I see you've just finished your UK tour. We were so hoping to see you. We've just moved to London from South Africa. Did you know you have fans in South Africa too. One of my friends Simon LOVES you guys. He keeps asking us to look out for shows in the UK. He says ima...cummin. LOL> simon is in a punk band from South Africa called Sniper on the Roof. Pretty good. Busy recording at the moment. My fiance and I here now and we love you guys too. Nothing like a bit of toy Dolls while sitting on the tube. Hope you guys have shows real soon again, means we get to see our Saffa friends too when they come to see you guys. Simon does that, pays to come watch a concert in the UK and then goes home. He did that with Rancid, but went home dead happy with autographs and things. Cant wait to hear some new material! You guys rock! Monique xx

Hi, I am doing just fine thank you! Wow, South Africa, bit of a contrast from London I bet! Cheers! Workin on material as we speak! Take care
Olga

Alreet Olga, Went to the Uk Gig at Durham and thought the gig was great good to see you back in the northeast with a good tight band. Last time i saw the band was the Mayfair in newcastle some years ago, i managed to get your autograph. Busy reading from fulwell to fukuaka good reading as i reckonise the places the songs were wrote about as i'm from South Shields. My question is now you've done the uk tour do you think there will be more tours from the band especially to the north east? Keep up the good work. Ian S.

Hi Ian, how ya doin? Cheers for comin to the Durham gig, glad ya enjoyed it! There maybe tours, and maybe more north east shows, bit early to tell just yet, we dont actually live in the north east anymore, I am in London, Duncan is in Middlesex and Tommy is in Norwich! and our crew are in Germany and Belgium! but its alway nice to get up north! Cheers
Olga

Are you coming to sweden soon?... plz........Stockhom

Olga

Hi, Olga. I'm a russian punk. My name is Stazz. I've visited your gig in Moscow and really awesome liked it. Toy Dolls are really great. And my question is: will you visit russia in the nearest time? We're all waiting.

Stazz Hi, we loved Moscow, rockin! Glad you enjoyed the show too, thank you! We will be back, no exact dates planned, but it will happen! Cheers
Olga

Yey Olga! I'm a design student in Portugal and this year we're studing typography. I need to ask you something. Could you tell me the name and the author of the Toy Dolls' logo font? please answer me as soon as you can. love from Portugal! xxx

Hi, Hopefully Ciaron, from the website, can answer this one!?.... Ciaron?
Olga

I re-created the building block lettering myself entirely from scratch for the website... it's not a font! Whenever i need to create a new title then i just have to assemble the appropriate letters together... simple :o)
Ciaron

what kind of pickups does tommy use? he has the best tone ever!

The pick ups are the standard pick ups on Tommys Music Man Stingray bass, I know he changes strings EVERY gig, which does enhance the tone! Cheers
Olga

Hi Olga! I`m your old fan from Slovenia and I just found out that you are still playing around! So I would be really happy if you could tell me when is your next nearest concert? You are the best! Hope to see you all live some day. Bye, Ur?a

Hello Slovenia! Yep, we are still around!! Just finisished a big tour, now in the middle of writing, keep checking the tour dates for the next shows, probably after the album is released, in a year or two!
Olga

Hi Olga, I just like to know if there are plans for upcoming tour dates for Germany? Who«s the Toy Dolls booking agent for Germany (Europe)?

Hi! We will be back in Germany after the next album is released, check Bookings/management if you wish to arrange any gigs. Cheers
Olga

Hi, im from Argentina, i was the guy who took a picture with you outside "El Teatro" like 5 hours before the show started, anyway, i did enjoy the two shows, thou there were songs that i would've killed to hear live like Modern Schools Of Motoring, but it wasnt in the setlist. Will u ever do a poll on the website for songs that arent normally played so people can vote and u can include them in the next world tour? that would be awesome!!!!!!! Take care! keep up the awesome music Adrian

Hi Adrian, yeah, we may do a poll! we played Modern schools of motoring in South America a few years back actually! Pleased you enjoyed the shows. Cheers
Olga

Steve Hi We dont have a teaching DVD for sale yet, but maybe in the future! I will try to play the bits in extra slow motion next time around, cheers for pointing that out! Thank you! Take care
Olga

To Whom It May Concern: I was wondering if this website is genuine because there is nothing mentioned about "a shop" on the official website nor on the official my space page. Here is the link to this so called Official Shop of The Toy Dolls, http://www.thetoydollsshop.com/index.asp

Hi! This toy Dolls shop has nothing to do with the band or our website, its just a shop run by the record company, Secret Records, selling things only produced by themselves, ie CDs and DVDs. Cheers
Olga

Olga, Does this mean that you won't be touring the United States? I grew up listening to the Toy Dolls, and now my kids have been growing up listening to the band. Honestly, we've never had the pleasure to see you perform live and was following up on the website, crossing our fingers and hoping that you would be touring Southern California. We hope that you have a change of heart.

Hi, Our management are constantly working on getting us to the USA, we always have a great time there, as soon as I hear any more positive news, we will let ya know! Cheers
Olga

Hi Olga. Is it possible to subscribe to a newsletter for Toy Dolls information? e.g. when new guitar lessons are uploaded or new dates... Cheers and rock on, yours Pres Nope.

Hey! The website actually replaced The Toy Dolls fanclub, which used to send out news letters etc, now all news of tours, gigs etc are announced as soon as confirmed on the website. Please keep checking! Take care
Olga

I'm 16 years old and I live in Sweden in a city nearby Gothenburg. However; me and almost everyone I know really LOVE The Toy Dolls. Me and many of my friends weren't on the concert at Augustibuller this summer. My questions to you are: 1. Do you know when are you coming back to Sweden? 2. Can you try to get a gig in Gothenburg? 3. Do you like your Swedish fans? Hope you'll answer. Would be great. Remember we LOVE you guys back here. You're not like any other band. Edvin Aronson

Edvin Hi THANK YOU! 1. Yes, eventually we will be back in sweden, after the next album is released! 2. Yes, Gothenburg rocks, we always have great shows there, thank you! 3. Yes, very friendly, very loyal! THANK YOU LOTS! Take care
Olga

Hi Olga, Met you and saw ou play in Leeds....I was the suited city gent with the sunderland accent who stopped you in the street, when you were in Leeds the day before the gig.The gig was ace...ta! My question relates to We're Mad.....in your notes, you say its not one of the best you've ever written.....to the contrary dear fellow! I think it's easily one of your top ten songs ever....everything about, especially the bit at the end where all the band get involved. Top stuff...anyway, looking forward to the new album. Pete

Pete Hi Good to hear from ya! Glad you like the gig! Still cant really say I like The Were Mad song! but thank you anyway! cheers Look forward to seeing you next time around!
Olga

HELLO OLGA. What chances would you give the dolls playing Blackpool's Rebellion Festival next year. I know you are busy writing the new album But between 1 and 10 give us a wee clue It would be great to see you guys on that famous auld ballroom stage. Regards Gibby

Hi Gibby, Cheers for your question, though its unlikely we will be at Blackpool next year, a bit early after just touring the UK in September! but I am sure the festival will be well rockin' without us! Take care
Olga

Hey Olga. Thanks for coming back to us and gigging in the UK, what a fucking brilliant night in Birmingham. The set was great, I have slight memory loss due to falling victim to some mind bending drugs, this is a shame (the loss of memory bit) although a great night was had. Jumping, Bumping and bashing, into, and with friends alike, loads of polish there who were a good laugh. I lost my watch, my jumper, and my sunglasses. Bloody fantastic eh. It did feel like though the show came to a grinding halt at the end, lights on BAM (oh no its over, cry, whimper, sob.) This just makes me want more, Please do Wales next time, I'm sure you'll all have the warmest welcome. Can't wait to see you guys again. Thanks for making music that always puts a smile on my face. Yours always, South Wales Steve aka (Jim loon).

Steve Cheers for coming to Birmingham gig, we had a wicked time, really nice atmosphere n all! Hopefully more gigs, and maybe Wales can be included next time around. Cheers
Olga

hi olga, my bruv introduced me to the toydolls and i loved the song sod the neighbors. my friends and i are in a sorta okish punk/ska band and i wanted to know wich guitar would be best to use for punk. if you want to hear us look up the clowns on myspace music! or type in kbayeng on youtube.

Hi! Thank you for that. i prefer the Fender Telecaster myself, but great punk guitars are Gibson SGs and Les Pauls! Best of luck!
Olga

hi Alga, my name's Ronny and i'm an australian TOY DOLLS fan of over 20 years.i just love the band, the spirit, the catchiness of the tunes, the musicianship, all of it.anyway there are many people here who love you guys,so when you finish the writing on the next album, remember we're not that far from japan for a show or three! (that would make it a proper world tour) P.S. bring the Dickies and Adicts with ya! all the best and i wish you every success with the next album

Thank you Ronny! We would love to get there someday! fingers crossed, will have a word with the Adicts and The Dickies also!

Olga

Hello from France Olga, I think it's really great to give on your website your honest opinion of each Toy Dolls album you recorded. I noticed that you said you hate the album A FAR OUT DISC. You mention that you had technical issues during the recording but still I think it's the greatest Toy Dolls album ever made. It's so unique, original, unexpected. And there are great songs in it. You say you don't want to listen to it again and I think it's a shame. Will you give A FAR OUT DISC a second chance? Best regards, Antoine Douchet

Hello Antoine Glad you like A Far Out Disc, though I think its all a bit desperate, adverts n stuff, agrhh! Will listen to it again in a few years!
Olga

Hi Olga, how are you? RicardoStoco from Brazil here. I'm just wondering about that version of DAVID'S XR2 who's supost to be in the OUR LAST ALBUM? along with YUL BRYNNER WAS A SKINHEAD. Do you have any plans to release soon? I really love the original version but i'm still a little bit curious about this Drums + Bass + 1 guitar version too... Thanks for the info. Cheers.

Hi there Ricardo Good question, we did record it, the mix wasnt so good, so maybe we will re mix it someday, will let ya know if it will see the light of day! Take care
Olga

Hey olga, i really enjoyed the gig in durham, Nice One!!!.Anyhoo, erm is there any chance of you putting up a lesson for ''i wish my eyes were ernies'' cos i just love the solo at the start. Rob

Rob Hey! Thanks for comin to the Durham show! I wish my eyes were Ernies, yeah, maybe! I will have to sit down and learn it all again first though! its been a while! Cheers
Olga

Hi Olga, I don't have a question for you, this is just to say i saw you and the guys in birmingham in september and just thought you were brilliant. I can't wait to see you again when tour west midlands again, it would be great if you could play wolverhampton, but i don't mind traveling. regards Audrey x x

Hi Audrey, Thank you, we really enjoyed Birmingham, rockin! Thank you for that. Will bear Wolverhampton in mind. Take care
Olga

Olga

olga, i have been a huge toy dolls fan since i was 17. now i'm 25. i've never heard of you coming near where i live...maybe i've just been out of the loop!! i used to live in san diego, now i live in san francisco. i would love it if you would tour california, come to the bay area, et cetera. i would travel anywhere in CA to see the toy dolls perform. i do not agree with the self-assessment you gave to 'our last album' on your webpage. i think it might be my favorite album so far! i listen to it almost everyday on the train ride into work, and sometimes on the way
back. sometimes i wonder if i'm losing my mind, listening to the same record over and over, but i haven't gotten sick of it yet, and i've been listening to it every weekday for almost 3 months!!! the music is so great and the song "she's so modern" is possibly my favorite toy dolls song ever. your vocals on that song are fucking incredible!!! anyway, i read on the website that you recently finished touring in japan and europe, but please please please come to the US and to california! i MUST see you before you really do put out your last album! you know, when i was 16, about 9 years ago you know, i was in high school, and i had this badass spanish teacher. along with a handful of others, i was badly behaved in her class. she was probably about 30 years old. anyway, she took all the kids that talked out of turn, like me, and put us in a corner of the room where we could still listen if we chose, but if we talked, we wouldn't really bother any of the other kids. she knew we weren't really into class, and she gave us one-on- one tutoring if we asked for it (i did...cause its important to know un pocito espanol when you live in california) since we didn't do so hot in lessons. she was a great girl. me and my buddies used to go in and hangout with her at lunch and shoot the shit about punk rock. her two favorite bands were minor threat and the toy dolls. i wore a toy dolls shirt to school one day and she basically shit her pants. that's how all of this started. since then we were friends. you bridged the generation gap and helped me pass Spanish!!! anyway, please please please come to california. oh, and since this is (technically?) supposed to be a question: will you please come to san francisco? you can stay at my place! LOVE NEAL

Hey Neal, Thank you! We have always had wicked shows in San Diego AND San Francisco! we really hope to get back, please wait! Great story! cheers
Olga

hey olga been listening to you guys all my life my first musical memory was fisticuffs in frederick street the b side to nellie the elephant witch i still have in perfect condition it was the fist punk song i heard i went to see you at the birmingham gig on 21st September 2007 it was awesome u guys dominated the stage was wondering if you are planning any more uk dates in the future keep up the good work jeff ( the blonde guy in the front row )

Hi Jeff Thank you! We are are thinking about more UK dates, but it will be after the album is written, so a bit early to tell where just yet, The Birmingham gig was speacial, I agree, we had a great time. Thanks to you lot.
Olga

hello Olga, i'm a big fan of the toy dolls for like more then 20 years from Holland, i've been to tour show several times and it always makes me very happy for a long time. i listen almost every day my discografy in my car, singing out loud, even in the morning. but my question is , i'm a proud dad of an 3 weeks old son and i wonder .i want to come to a show and enjoy together the toy dolls, now he's to young but in a few years i think he's ready for it.do you think your still playing in about 7 or 8 years? or are you willing to play then in like say a come back to play for my son and his dad to make life more fantastic?i find my life so much happier after listning to the toy dolls. and after a gig i'm mega happy, life's so much easier for a few weeks then, not that i'm depressed or something, but i'm just a huge fan. ok all the best and i hope to hear from you, best regards, martijn holland

Martijn Hi Glad you like playing the discography in the morning! Hey, dont worry, I guess we will still be around, we have done 28 years already, whats another 7 or 8!? probably take me that long to write the album anyway!! Look forward to seeing you in Holland! Take care
Olga

problems about getting a visa. Find a solution! Love you big time Pelin

Pelin Hi We have never been to Istanbul, I really hope it can happen, I will have a word with our management about it next week! Thank you!
Olga
